If you’re arriving in Turkey from Greece, or if you are departing Atilla’s Getaway to island hop through Greece, we’ve got the low down on how it all works...

Ferries

There are five crossing points between the Greek Islands and Turkey. The two most popular routes are either via Samos or Rhodes.

• Kusadasi – Samos
• Ayvalik – Lesbos
• Cesme – Chios (Car Ferry)
• Bodrum – Kos
• Marmaris – Rhodes

Atilla’s Getaway is located just outside of Selcuk, approximately 17km from Kusadasi port. The ferry goes between Samos and Kusadasi twice a day and takes two hours.

We provide free pick up service from Kusadasi port! Contact us prior to your departure day and we can arrange to meet you.

Book your departing ferry ticket for Greece with us at Atilla’s Getaway and you’ll be dropped off right at the port.

Samos, the nearest Greek island to Turkey, is mainly used by travellers to get to Turkey or to go on to other Greek islands. But this island is a stunning island which has something to offer everyone.

There are wonderful mountains blanketed with cypress and olive trees which lead down to numerous beaches of all shapes, sizes and textures which are laced all around the coastline. Samos is an island rich in history. Visit Efpalino tunnel, Archeological museum in the town of Samos, the Archeological collection at the Town hall in Pythagorio and the Temple of Hera.

Other Ferries From Samos
Samos has good connections with all other islands.
Samos to Paros or Naxos: 5 times a week from Samos to Paros and Naxos. You can then take boats from here to Santorini and Ios
Samos to Syros: 4 times a week.
Samos to Mykonos: 3 times a week in Summer.
Samos to Athens (Piraeus): There is a daily boat in the afternoon. There are also flights from Samos to Athens with Olympic Air.
Samos to Patmos: There are daily boats from Samos to Patmos early in the morning that return to Samos in the afternoon.

Timetables change often so ask us or ITSA Travel (in Samos, opposite the port) www.itsatravel.com to check current schedules.

All islands have good connections to Athens (Piraeus). Paros has good connections to everywhere. Rhodes has good connections to Crete and Athens as well as a summer ferry that runs from Rhodes to Santorini.

There are some faster ferries which may half the time of your journey, but at double the cost of a standard ticket.

Schedules will vary depending on how busy it is, so expect waits on less frequented islands. Be careful of national holidays as ferries will likely be on a limited schedule.

Always be at the port 30 minutes before your departure time.
