This pretty old Greek Orthodox village was once known as Cirkince ( which means ‘ugly ‘).Indeed its habitants gave this name on purpose as they did not want to be bothered by foreigners nor to share the beauty of their village. During the exchange of populations following World War I, Turks from Thessaloniki, Greece were moved here in 1924 They changed the name to Şirince (which means ‘ pretty ‘, ‘charming’)
Şirince acquired world-wide fame when tourists flocked to the village in December 2012 to witness the Mayan Apocalypse, as New Age mystics believed its “positive energy” would aid in weathering the catastrophe, during the 2012 phenomenon
To visit this pretty village which acquired world-wide fame when tourists flocked to the village in December 2012 to witness the Mayan Apocalypse or Doom’s Day , after the breakfast you will be picked up from your hotel in Kusadasi / Selcuk. Pick up time is 09.00 from Kusadasi and 09.30 from Selcuk. Around 10.00 you will arrive in Sirince and start to explore the town with your guide.

Sirince is a village like a painting with its well preserved old houses, narrow streets, small local restaurants and vineyards. You may enjoy shopping through the narrow streets of Sirince, from the villagers selling kinds of handcrafts, olive oil and wine that is made of several fruits grown in Sirince.

Private Pamukkale & Aphrodisias Tour

Aphrodisias lies in southwestern Turkey, in the fertile valley of the Dandalas River, a tributary of the Meander, about 150 kilometres east (inland) of the Aegean Sea. It is situated at the base of the Babadag mountain range, at 500 m above sea level.  The city was the capital of the ancient Roman province of Caria.
Aphrodisias is one of the oldest sacred sites in Turkey, dedicated to the ancient Greek goddess of love, Aphrodite, it was the site of a magnificent Temple of Aphrodite and the home of a famous school of marble sculpture. The Temple of Aphrodite later became a Christian basilica through an impressive swapping of columns. Today, the Temple of Aphrodite is well-preserved and partially restored; it is not hard to imagine its ancient splendor. Aphrodisias also offers ruins of a large theater, a stadium and other structures, as well as an on-site museum displaying artifactsAccording to Suda the city had three names before it was known as Aphrodisias ; Lelegon Polis, Megale Polis and Ninoe.
To visit Aphrodisias you will be picked up from your hotel in Kusadasi / Selcuk at 07.30 by a private vehicle and guide. During your trip you will drive along the countryside for about two hours with the lovely scenery of vineyards , olive trees and cotton plantations.

Daily Pamukkale Tour From Kusadasi / Selcuk

Pamukkale, meaning “cotton castle” in Turkish, is a natural site in Denizli province in southwestern Turkey. The city contains hot springs and travertines, terraces of carbonate minerals left by the flowing water. Today the area is one of the foremost tourism resorts thanks to its Pamukkale travertines, accommodation facilities, thermal baths and natural and historical assets. To discover this amazing town and its hot springs you will meet your guide at the reception of your hotel in Selcuk / Kusadasi in the morning. and drive to Pamukkale which takes around three and a half hours.We start our tour by having our open buffet lunch at a local restaurant in Pamukkale.
