Day 01 – Arrive IST/SAW Airport than transfer to Hotel. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 07 – After Breakfast, transfer to airport to catch suitable flight to Istanbul. Arrive & catch home-bound flight.

Day 01 – Arrival Day

Meet at IST/SAW airport & transfer to your hotel. You will be given your room key and the rest of the day is yours to explore Istanbul. Have a good rest for your amazing 7 days Istanbul Ephesus Pamukkale tour . Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 02 – Full Day Ottoman & Byzantium Relics Tour (Breakfast, Lunch Included)

* Visited Sights: The Old city  “Sultanahmet”  – Topkapi Palace –  Grand Bazaar – Blue Mosque – Hagia Sophia – Hippodrome – Obelisk of Theodosius – German Fountain of Wilhelm II  – Serpentine Column
Guests will be picked up around 8:00am, and brought to the Sultanahmet district, the oldest, most historic part of the city. The first stop of the day will be the Hagia Sophia, as our tour guide explains the significance of this massive building that was once a Christian church, then a mosque, and now a museum. Afterward, we will pass the Hippodrome of Constantinople, where we will see the site’s impressive obelisk, before reaching the Blue Mosque. We should be sure to take pictures of both the interior and exterior of this impressive building. Next, we will continue to the Grand Bazaar, a massive, bustling complex to find clothing, decorative furnishings, food, and more. On the way to the bazaar, we will see other historical monuments, like the Tomb of Sultan Ahmet I, the Firuz Aga Mosque, and the exterior of the Tomb of Mehmed II. After our visit to the Grand Bazaar, we will make a brief stop for lunch. In the afternoon, we will visit Topkapi Palace, the primary residence of the Ottoman sultans for nearly 400 years. Afterward, we will visit the Little Hagia Sophia, the final stop on the tour before guests are returned to their hotels.

Day 03 – Full Day Princess Island Tour (Breakfast, Lunch Included)

Experience the serenity of the biggest Princes’ Island in Turkey, Büyükada (Big Island). After traversing the Sea of Marmara by boat, arrive on the quaint island Buyukada which is a quiet sea front town and summer holiday escape from the city. Upon arrival to the island, you will see the lavish Ottoman mansions, charming old Ottoman houses and other beautiful Victorian summer villas around the island .Learn the island’s history and enjoy ample time to lounge on its beautiful beaches with enjoying seaside fish and local restaurants.After tour back to mainland and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 04 – Half Day Bosphorus Cruise Tour (Breakfast Included)

* Visited Sights:  Bosphorus Region – Rumeli Fortress – Spice Bazaar
Guests of this half-day tour can choose the morning or afternoon option, and will be picked up from their hotel at the selected time. We will first visit the Spice Bazaar, one of the city’s most colorful and bustling attractions, which has been in operation since the 17th century and still remains a very popular attraction for locals and visitors alike. The tour guide will give us tips on the best stalls and kiosks to visit so we do not become overwhelmed by the busy market, where we will have roughly 45 minutes of free time to explore and shop. Next, we will head to the shores of the Bosphorus Strait for a cruise, learning about this important, strategic waterway that straddles the Asian and European continents. On our voyage, we will see an impressive showcase of many historic Istanbul buildings: the decadent façade of Dolmabahce Palace (no interior visit); 15th-century fortress Rumelihisari (no interior visit); the Beylerbeyi Palace (no interior visit), the summer home of Ottoman sultans; and many more. After tour, you will be transferred to airport to catch flight to Izmir. Arrive & transfer to hotel.

Day 05 – Full Day Ephesus City Tour (Breakfast, Lunch Included)

* Visited Sights:  Ephesus Ancient Ruins – House of Virgin Mary – Temple of Artemis
Tour start from the port of Kusadasi proceed to the House of the Virgin Mary includes scenic views of the Byzantine fortress in Selcuk and the Temple of Artemis. A long and winding road affords wonderful views of the valley en route to the Shrine of St. Mary. The diminutive house, beautifully situated in the Solmissos Mountains, is considered by the Vatican to be the final resting place of the Virgin Mary.Your tour continues to ancient Ephesus, where you’ll pass through the arched Magnesia Gate and begin a slow, downhill walk to the ruins of the Roman provincial capital. Your knowledgeable guide will highlight such sights as the beautifully preserved Temple of Hadrian, the magnificent Trajan Fountain, the Odeon Theater, once used for both political and entertainment purposes, and the beautiful Celsus Library with its imposing façade and two story Corinthian-style columns. The dramatic Great Theater is one of the few structures still used today. It seats twenty-five thousand and, although it was once an arena for gladiator games, it is now home to annual spring festivals. Temple Of Artemis (Diana), on the side of one of the seven wonders of ancient World After tour , transfer back to your hotel.

Day 06 – Full Day Pamukkale & Hierapolis Tour (Breakfast, Lunch Included)

* Visited Sights:  Ancient Pamukkale Cotton Castles & Hierapolis – Cleopatra’s Pool – Thermal Hot Springs & Terraces
You will be picked up from your hotel at around 08:00 for the tour of Pamukkale, which is the center of natural thermal spring waters with healing properties. Due to the chemical properties in the water, pure white colored travertines and stepped water terraces have been created on the mountain slope. It is for its resemblance to cotton piles that it is called “Cotton Castle” in Turkish. Upon arrival,  you will visit the travertines and the ancient city of Hierapolis which has the biggest Necropolis with 1200 gravestones in Anatolia. Also, the Sacred Pool is one of the highlights of the site (entrance is extra self-payment). There shallow thermal waters ripple over a wonderful scattering of ancient roman ruins that lie beneath. After tour , transfer back to your hotel.

Day 07 – Selcuk to Airport (Breakfast Included)

After breakfast you will have free time . Then we depart to airport for our domestic flight to Istanbul and then back to home. End of your 7 days Istanbul Ephesus Pamukkale tour  . ANZAC Day Turkey 2023

Duration: 05 Days / 04 Nights

Note: This travel package is flexible prior to 24th & post 28th of April, if you intend to arrive anywhere outside the below dates we can accommodate your travel needs be it hotels, transport, day tours, airport transfers or simply any assistance you might need during your stay.

24th April 2023,  – Istanbul – Gallipoli Peninsula

It is important that you inform us one week prior to the start of your package if you intend to forfeit your bus trip and intend getting to Eceabat on your own from another destination. We ask that people who have already stated this in previous emails still contact us one week prior to confirm their plans.

Pick-up in Istanbul : 06:00 : Meet your bus group in front of the Hagia Sofia Mosque (pink mosque), opposite the Blue Mosque in Sultanahmet, Istanbul. Bus times are essential. The buses can wait for no-one.

Please be on your bus at least 10 minutes prior to stated times for immediate departure.

The offsiders will mark your attendance for boarding purposes.

07:00 Depart for Eceabat from Istanbul.

There will be a comfort stop half way at a station/cafeteria, where you can buy lunch.

13:00 Enter the town of Eceabat where we will grab our Gallipoli goodies bag.

Lunch in Eceabat.

After lunch showings of Gallipoli documentary, “The Fatal Shore” & the movie “Gallipoli”.

19:00 Join the convoy buses for departure to the Dawn Service site where we will grab a space in the large crowd and wait, listening to the pre dawn program. 

25th April 2023, ANZAC Day Services

05:30 Dawn Service commences as the sun breaks the skyline behind the Turkish Sphinx.

07:30 While waiting for your bus to transfer you to the next service you can eat breakfast on the grass with the group or feel free to tell your leader that you want to go exploring; take your breakfast pack & walk the ridges & old trenches to the next service. Australian &/or New Zealand National services. (Service times for these have yet to be released)

Late afternoon buses depart for Eceabat, where you will check into your accommodation, have a shower & a well-deserved sleep.

19:30 Screening of the Gallipoli movie.

26th April 2023, Gallipoli Peninsula

12:00 Restaurant lunch to start off the tour.

Departure for Gallipoli battlefield tour of the ANZAC area. 5 hour tour visiting:

27th April 2023, Troy & Pergamum Tour

After breakfast at hotel, check-out & drive to Troy. The Greek poet Homer wrote about the ancient city Troy in The Iliad. Troy is one of the world’s most important archaeological sites because of its place in literature & what it tells us about a critical early period in the development of European civilization. The large replica of the Trojan horse at the front of the ruins, is part of the myth of the Trojan War. After the city of Troy we will proceed to Pergamum. The site of ancient Pergamum is set on a steep hilltop, the capital of Pergamum kingdom after the death of Alexander the Great was a cultural center having a large library rivaling that of Alexandria in Egypt. After the tour, we will drive apx. 2 hrs to reach Kusadasi. Transfer to hotel upon arrival. Overnight in Kusadasi.

28th April 2023, Ephesus Tour

Check out from hotel & driving south to visit the Ancient City of Ephesus which is among one of the best preserved Greco-Roman Cities in the world enabling one to genuinely ‘soak in’ the atmosphere of Roman times. Enter through the Magnesia Gate & begin a slow, downhill walk with your guide into the ruins of this Roman provincial capital. After lunch, we depart to visit the House of Virgin Mary where she is said to be brought here by St. John & have spent the last of her days. The tour also includes a visit to the remains of Artemis Temple which was one of the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World.

Transfer to Izmir Airport for Istanbul flight.

Optional: You can choose to stay in the region or continue on south to the Turkish Coast. Or you may cross over to Greece from Kusadasi to Samos with a ferry.
